How the date calculator counts

Counting starts the day after your start date, the way deadlines, notice periods and return windows are usually counted. So 30 days after the 1st of a 31-day month is the 31st.

Years and months are added first, on the calendar, then weeks and days. If the day doesn't exist in the new month, the date moves to that month's last day.

With "Days are business days" ticked, the days you enter skip Saturdays and Sundays, and US federal holidays if you tick that too. Everything runs in your browser, in your own time zone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add days to a date?

Pick the start date, choose Add, and type the number of days. The calculator shows the new date, its weekday, week number and day of the year. You can add years, months and weeks at the same time.

How does the date calculator handle months?

Months are added on the calendar. If the day does not exist in the new month, the date moves to the last day of that month, so January 31 plus one month is February 28, or February 29 in a leap year.

Can I add business days only?

Yes. Tick "Business days" to skip Saturdays and Sundays when adding days, and "Skip US holidays" to skip federal holidays too. For counting working days between dates, use the business day calculator.

How do I find the number of days between two dates?

Use the DayCalcs day counter on the homepage. It counts the days, weeks, months and business days between any two dates, or until and since a date.

What date is 90 days from today?

Leave the start date as today, choose Add and enter 90 in Days. The result card shows the date, its weekday and how many business days are in between.
